The Singapore Government has rolled out a new one-time cash payout of up to $1,200 in 2025, aimed at helping citizens manage the impact of higher living costs. The initiative is part of a wider social assistance package introduced this year, designed to provide immediate relief to low- and middle-income households, as well as senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
With inflation, rising utility bills, and economic uncertainty affecting many families, this payout serves as a direct boost to help Singaporeans meet their daily needs.
Overview of the Payout
The payment will be credited directly to eligible individuals’ bank accounts, ensuring quick and secure access to the funds. The amount varies based on income level, with additional top-ups for seniors and those with disabilities.
Category | Estimated Amount
Low-income citizens | $1,200
Middle-income citizens | $700 – $900
Seniors | Additional $200
Persons with disabilities | Additional $200 – $300
Payments will be made via PayNow (linked to NRIC) or GIRO to active bank accounts in Singapore.
